Leidseplein is (together with Rembrandtsplein) the main spot of the nightlife in Amsterdam and both of these squares are a walking distance from our hotel. This is where you find the biggest selection of the bars and restaurants in town, in addition to famous Bulldog Palace or Chicago theatre. Both squares are highly recommended and they can be reached on foot from our location. Some of the best known clubs in town are also situated here (Paradiso and the Melkweg).

A walking distance from our hotel is a beautiful Vondel park named after the poet and playwright Joost van den Vondel. Its local equivalent to Central park, an oasis right in the centre of the city and the place to enjoy some peace and quiet while still being right in the heart of Amsterdam. It is a perfect place for running or biking.

PC Hooftstraat is a high end shopping street named after a 16th century poet Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft. This is where you can find retailers such as Hermès, Cartier, Louis Vuitton and many others.

Museumplein is located right behind Rijksmuseum and is surrounded with several of the most celebrated museums in the country. In addition to Rijskmuseum, there is also Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum (modern art), Moco Museum and world famous Concertgebouw with its perfect acoustics.

One of the major tourist attractions, this is actually nowadays a Heineken museum – the real, century-old brewery has been closed in 1988 and removed elsewhere. The original brewery stood on this spot for several centuries and visitors are welcome to experience how the beer was originally made.

just around the corner from our hotel is one of the prettiest streets in the whole of Amsterdam. It was named after a wealthy Spiegel family and nowadays is full of beautiful art and antique shops. In addition, this is a place to get some really attractive prints of historical Amsterdam.

The House of Bols shows the history of the city through the story of a successful Jenever company, which later turned to the creation of cocktail liquors. Their bartending academy is one of the best in the world, and the tour ends at a cocktail bar, that is always manned by the top students.

The MoCo, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art presents a permanent exhibition of the famous street artist Banksy, paired with a temporary exhibition of an artist of similar caliber – Warhol, Basquiat, Hirst and many others were already presented.
